How many punches do you estimate for a clock ribbon?

Ribbon life is very subjective, meaning when is it too light to read? 

Some would advertise estimated normal ribbon life expectancy (without clocking IN/OUT more than IN for work, OUT for lunch, In back from lunch and OUT end of the day) for 10 employees is 10 months.  When customers ask us these questions we usually say roughly 1-3 months with heavy use, 3-6 months with moderate use, and 6-12 months with light use.
